2:00 Janet Cichelli, SI International: Merging EPSS and Content Management - applying object-oriented techniques to chunk/tag support content, define reusable EPSS task objects, and present all through an "intelligent browser" interface.
3:30 Tom Carey, University of Waterloo: What LT3 (The Centre for Learning & Teaching Through Technology) is doing in helping prepare students for organizational learning when the enter the corporate workplace - We want to prepare students for organizational settings characterized by knowledge stewardship and process innovation. How can we insure that students experience this, not just study it, in post-secondary education?

Tom Carey, University of Waterloo: A Study of Online Corporate Managerial programs - We have received development funding to prepare a full proposal for a research project, "Distributed Learning for Management in the New Economy: A Longitudinal Impacts Study." We now seek input as we map out a study plan. This research will be the first to examine the overall impacts of management development through distributed learning partnerships, including both the immediate effects on the learners and the longer-term effects on their colleagues and their workplaces.

1:00 Pat Chapman: Agilent's Leadership Supply Process. The process includes four major steps: 1. Identify business priorities, leadership needs, and top talent pool; 2. Review top talent, strengths gaps and career goals, and development objectives; 3. Develop through work assignments, learning from others, training, and 4. Measure leadership bench strength, retention, and diversity.

4:00 Karla Kuzawinski, formerly of Xerox: Web-based Assessment and Survey Tools. Once a paper and pencil process, the gathering and analysis of data collected through surveys has been revolutionalized by the Internet. Web-surveys are a versatile tool for administering forms, tests, assessments, surveys and polls. I'll explore the Pro's and Con's of using web-based tools for data collection, analysis and reporting.

9:00 Sonia Orrico (formerly Western Union): Executive Development Portal - In the first phase of this project, the objective was to create an online learning environment for use by global executives in the creation of “actionable” development plans. A second objective was to provide a variety of online resources for development. Resources included online courses, online books, printable articles, websites, information on seminars and other appropriate tools for development. Executives also have access to local Human Resources personnel and opportunities for coaching and mentoring. I will also share information on program sponsors, development cycle, vendors used and lessons learned.
