I am responsible for meeting the technical training needs of people

growing, privately held companies. The SCOOTER Store is the largest
U.S. distributor of electric scooters and power chairs. We help
people gain mobility and independence from our headquarters in New

as the 26th fastest growing, privately held company in the U.S.
Prior
to joining the SCOOTER Store, I held a variety of positions in Learning

advisor, and manager of various training endeavors. Largest efforts
there included the development of computer based training courses,
developing an entire internal project management curriculum and
certification program, management and leadership development programs,
and call center management training. Before joining USAA, I was
a career Air Force pilot and instructed in three aircraft: two jet
trainers and the C-5A cargo plane. I revamped a traditional curriculum
of twelve courses into a mix of platform and computer based instruction,
learning a lot about prudent use and design of the latter in the
process. My interest in learning gained me an assignment to the

hats address business group needs analysis, end user support and
reporting. This is my second time round leading a team of this type,
and I have spent the last 12 or so years in telecom in T&D, Sales,

Biography:
Currently
offering social media strategies and solutions to organizations
striving to create conversations with their employees and customers,
I co-own "frank", a company dedicated to helping people to be, well,
frank. Authentic, transparent, honest. And hopefully fun, creative,
inspiring and innovative along the way.
I
started as a COBOL programmer with Accenture (then Andersen Consulting)
in the mid-80's, quickly
moved over to organization effectiveness, process and organization
design and training. My last "real" job was in 2001 as senior director
of organization effectiveness for Best Buy where I led the company's
training department.
My
background and services include organization effectiveness (team
development, organization redesign, process development and human
resource systems change); leadership development and coaching; individual
development; change management and measurement and social media
strategy and implementation. In other words, I work with leaders
to figure out what stands in the way of organization, team and individual
effectiveness and then work with the right stakeholders to move
them toward their visions. Since 2005 a lot of this has included
(among other things) online portals with leadership blogs, v-logs,
podcasts, discussion forums and other communications and collaboration
platforms.
