Mow Cop

January 2005

Mow Cop is a "folly" in the same sense as the White Nancy of Bollington. This beautiful "ruin" was built in 1754 for Randle Wilbraham I. It was meant to enhance the view from Rode Hall, his nearby home, and also served as a place for summer picnics. Click here to learn more.

We drove to a car park just below Mow Cop.
