June 7-8: Camping, Buxton in Derbyshire Hazel and I have been camping this weekend with my friend from work, Vicki. David was away on his golf society weekend so we thought we'd have some fun, too. We went to Lime Tree Park campsite just outside of Buxton in Derbyshire, about half an hour away from Congleton (www.limetreeparkbuxton.co.uk/).
Our new tent was very easy to put up. The inner tent goes up first, then the outer flysheet goes on top. The hardest bit was working out which way round the outer tent should go but a quick look at the photograph on the pack helped sort that out. |

Hazel had a great time running around the field playing 'chase the skipping rope' and other such games. She also thought it was fun to take her books into the middle of the field (in her pyjamas!) and read them there. |
|
The railway bridge was our view behind the tent. We saw a train on it this morning pulling eighteen cars, all the same. |

June 14-15: Scotland
for Chloe Isla's Christening
The many faces of Hazel while we waited for the service to start. |
|
The Christening was nice. There was a tent set up in David's Auntie Joyce's garden and the minister came with travel font. Chloe Isla was very well behaved. She had a great time bopping around the tent in her walker after the service. |
|
Our B&B was very nice with lots of extra touches like chilled sherry in the fridge, biscuits and chocolates. I like the cows outside playing I'm the King of the Castle. |
|
These scenery photos were taken from the car as we travelled between Dumfries and Morpeth. We took a road north to Haywick and then back down to Morpeth, crossing in and out of Scotland at various points. |

It was nice to catch up with our friends Kimberly and Rob as they await their first baby. About 10 days to go until the due date. Kimberly cooked us lunch. Hazel took the photo of the four of us. Not bad! |

We had a trip to the local park. There was a bouncy castle which Hazel tried out. It didn't do much for her hairstyle! |
|
There was also a large wading pool in the park so Hazel tried that out, too. |
