Late July. Hazel and I met her friend Isabella and family in Cheddleton, Staffordshire for a day out with Thomas the Tank Engine (http://www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk/thomas.htm). It was a fun day with lots of activities for the kids in addition to the train ride, such as a puppet show, bouncy castle, clown show, trampoline and face painting. Thomas the Tank Engine gave short rides while the main Churnet Valley Railway steam trains ran out to the other stations.
