After a long morning swimming, Hazel and I headed back to the room to cool down. We noticed that directly behind our little house staff were busy preparing for a beach wedding. It took about three hours to get everything set up and ready before the guests started to arrive. Hazel and I sat out on the porch to watch the ceremony. We waited and waited for the bride to arrive… A little girl and her grandmother came over from the wedding area to chat to us. It turns out that the woman was the mother of the groom and the little girl was the couple’s daughter. The groom is Australian and the bride English. The bride was meant to arrive at 5 but didn’t turn up until nearly 6pm – problems with her hairstyle it seems. It was fun to meet them. The bride arrived while we were chatting so they had to run back quick!
The bride arrives in the wedding “car”.
The ceremony – quick and to the point!
The highlight of the evening was seeing a monitor lizard. At a guess I would say it measured six foot from nose to tip of tail.
