Spring 2006, Part 1

March 20th. First day of spring, and a wood duck parades on thin ice.

March 21st. A pair of hooded merganser visit the channel.

March 21st. First heron of the year.

Big bird!

Big fish!

Curious wood duck.

Mates.

March 30th. Pied-billed Grebe is still around. Seems to spend as much time below the water as above.

Muskrat on the channel side of Raymond Brook Marsh.

Scores of turtles were out in the near-70 degree weather.
