STEP Meeting Hosted by the Bank of Montreal May 2-4, 2007 |
|
John Howe (retired from GM) and Judy Issokson.
Judy with Jay Cross. Sparkling wine before dinner.
Jay, Sue Hoffman (Lockheed Martin), Toni Bailey (XO Communications), Malcolm Roberts (BMO), and Linda LaRue (Kellogg).
Sue, Toni, Malc, and Linda. (I trained Sue to take over as head of Lockheed Martin's learning technologies group back in '97. This was her first time in STEP.)
Ian MacNeil (sunglasses), Gina Jeneroux, and Chris Giantsopoulos (all from Bank of Montreal).
Dinner menu is glazed chocolate.
Dinner menu broken and served at the end of the meal.
Sugar Chef Norbert at left, and Executive Chef Barry at right. Opposite projected images of them at work behind them.
David ___ (partner of Phyllis Huckabee from Quidel) making a very precise sugar spiral. He and Phyllis have just made their first barrel of wine.
Chef Norbert with Kendra Anderson of Agilent. Kendra was inflating the body of her swan. (She was the life of the party; really enjoying herself.)
And here's her result. Behind her are Pat Ross (Agilent) and Ellen Bear (formerly Bank of Montreal).
Pat Golden with the sailboat she requested. (Pat just got the Booz Allen Hamilton job.)
Bob Hamilton (Xerox) with dolphin. He restores old British sports cars. Tempted to sell him my TR3.
Butterfly I had done for you, but given away to someone else. Chef Norbert's swan.
Me and my crude sugar spoon.
The guy in the middle is Charles Beckham from Sun Microsystems. Very big on personality. ;-)
Soup. Included salt cod; not sure what else.
Duck with slivered truffles on top, a candycane beet (striped inside) at the left, salsify, and teeny potatoe balls.
Bread and local cheeses.
Dessert with my crude spoon and spiral.
Bob Hamilton posed with all the wines we had with the meal.
My favorite. A white French wine.
Ice wine made from grapes frozen on the vine. Very sweet; served with dessert. (Too sweet for me.)
